The Inn is on the Quiet Side of Mount Desert Island within walking distance to the village and its restaraunts and shops. It was built in 1883 by Amos Brown for his family in Colonial/Italianette style and is located opposite the town dock in an historic area of Southwest Harbor renowned for its seafaring traditions that continue to the present. We are open year round.
Operating out of the harbor and on Clark Point Road are fishing boats, sailing vessels, world famous boat builders, and at the end of the road, the Coast Guard Station.
