If there is one thing our guests enjoy here at the inn, it is healthy doses of chocolate. If you consider yourself a true blue chocoholic, then these cookies are for you. Of course, if you don’t feel like whipping up a batch of them yourself, you’re always welcome to visit us at the inn & we’ll bake ‘em up for you!
Triple Chocolate Chunk Cookies
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 cup dutch process cocoa
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
2 tsp. pure vanilla
2 large eggs
1 cup dark chocolate chunks
1 cup good quality white chocolate chunks
- Before you start mixin’ stuff up, preheat your oven to 375 degrees farenheit.
- Mix the dry ingredients together (flour, cocoa, salt & baking soda), set aside.
- In a seperate mixing bow, beat the softened butter & sugars at medium speed until creamy.
- To this mixture, you’ll be adding the eggs, one at a time, mixing on a lower speed until they are well incorporated.
- Grab your bowl of the dry ingredients mixture, gradually blending into your creamy mixture.
- Next, you’ll be stirring in the bittersweet & white chocolate chunks. If you like you could always throw in some walnuts or pecans, to your liking.
- Now you’ll need a cookie sheet lined with a silpat mat or parchment paper. ( if not using either of these, make sure cookie sheet is ungreased) Using a tablespoon, drop cookie dough onto cookie sheet, spacing evenly.
- Bake for about 10 minutes or to your desired liking.
- Finally, sit back & enjoy with an espresso or ice cold milk!
